The TC “Equality in the network” aims to address the training of non-formal education professionals to be able to carry out projects together with regulated education professionals and other informal educational agents, in academic and non-formal environments, and that as a consequence of this training generate innovative proposals in their communities.
The social challenges that society addresses: segregation, isolation, alienating hedonism, cultural conflicts, predominant in large metropolises, cannot be approached only from one of the dimensions of education, since its results have been shown to be insufficient. Its consequences on youth are well known; school failure, social maladjustment, and low job qualifications.
It is required that the different dimensions of education complement each other in the same synergy, offering the socioeducational responses that youth need for training, inclusion and socio-labour training, which guarantee more equality.
We are in a post-covid social situation that has increased the challenges and difficulties that our environments already suffered from, and that is why we want to hold this meeting between professionals, to reflect and share difficulties and strategies.
– The objectives of the TC are:
* Fight against school failure and social and labor exclusion of young people.
• Educate and train educators, youth leaders and non-formal education professionals in strategies for the joint work of non formal education with formal or academic and informal education.
• Promote and increase cooperation experiences in the field of youth between the three areas of education, to increase the guarantee in the learning itineraries and the social and labor insertion of young people.
• Establish an international network for the exchange of knowledge, good practices and resources between organizations in the field of youth and education.
