In the world of Erasmus+ adventures that connect people from different countries, we’ve realized something important. All the traveling and living during these projects create a big carbon footprint, meaning it’s not great for the environment. That’s why we started Greendex – a project to make Erasmus+ more eco-friendly.
So, what’s Greendex all about? We made a special calculator that figures out how much carbon dioxide (CO2) each person produces during an Erasmus+ project. But instead of just numbers, we turned that CO2 amount into the number of trees needed to soak it all up. It means planting trees to balance out the impact of our projects on the environment.
Our big dream is to get every Erasmus+ project to use our calculator and plant trees to make up for their carbon footprint. Imagine forests popping up all over Europe because of Erasmus+! These green spaces would not only make the air cleaner but also give us a cool and sustainable place to learn and hang out.
