TOULOUSE 1º MEETING FOR THE SPORT FOR 4 BEGING

“The Sport for all begins”. Just the last month of February in the French city of Toulouse, under the hosting of the European program Erasmus+sport, Toulouse NGO Terres en Mêlées hosted the first meeting for closing the bases of the project “The sport for all begins”  to be held in the next years in cooperation with Special Olympics Romania, Club korfbal Badalona, and la Rotllana.

The training and encouragement of the young sportsmen as leaders and coaches in order to increase the social inclusion throughout the sport is the central topic of this project. During five days in the French Occitan capital the leaders of the four European NGOs were designing the contents, methodology, and actions to accomplish this ambitious proposition. The ultimate result as principals has two international youth trainings of sports educators to be done in Bucharest and Badalona according to the program; one local training to be held in Toulouse, Bucharest, and Badalona simultaneously as replica and dissemination of the fruits of this work. Finally, the results will be exposed at the end of 2019 in France for the entire EU.

Moreover, the international meetings during all the process will be worked throughout an online lyceum for facilitating the remote training; thus, the educative and sport community will be involved in the progressive results throughout a blog and a webpages that will be available in short.

Each NGO gives experts, their social base for participation in the training, and their local context to be empowered by sport. Romanian partners, Special Olympics, are going to share their experience and background in the social inclusion of people with special educative needs in the adapted and unified sport. Terresen Melees will focus their contribution in the implementation of the sport in countries with socioeconomical and development difficulties and on how to build bridges from the rich Europe from their experience with the rugby in Africa. Club korfbal Badalona will share how to promote the sport for all from the childhood starting with such values as the cooperation, the gender balance, and the nonviolence; moreover, La Rotllana will share their experience in the social inclusion throughout the sport, at the same time will coordinate the project.

From the first meeting held in Toulouse, which had five intensive work days, for the four NGOs leaders a high motivation for the side of four NGOs comes off and a compromise for achieving a project that will change the social work itinerary to the positive for a lot of youngsters: at the same time it offers educative opportunities from the non-formal education to hundreds children, teenagers, and youngsters.
